Responsible Business

A practical approach to responsible international trade.

SolyTrades supports international B2B trade through structured sourcing, clear commercial arrangements and proportionate review of the products, counterparties and supply conditions involved in each transaction.

Our approach is designed to support commercially practical decisions while recognising the regulatory, operational and reputational responsibilities associated with cross-border trade.

Responsible Sourcing

Sourcing begins with the transaction.

Supplier selection begins with the requirements of the individual transaction. Depending on the product and scope, we may consider:

  • corporate and commercial information;
  • manufacturing capability;
  • relevant business experience;
  • product specifications;
  • technical and commercial documentation;
  • quality-control procedures;
  • production and delivery capability;
  • geographic and operational factors.

The depth of the review is proportionate to the nature, value and risk profile of the proposed transaction.

Products and Transactions

Lawful civilian B2B products and applications.

SolyTrades works with lawful civilian B2B products and commercial applications. Requests may be reviewed in relation to:

  • product classification;
  • destination and delivery market;
  • intended application and end use;
  • the parties involved in the transaction;
  • applicable sanctions requirements;
  • export-control considerations;
  • required conformity and market-access documentation.

A request may be declined where the proposed product, destination, counterparty, end use or transaction structure is inconsistent with applicable requirements or with the company’s responsible-business standards.

Product Boundaries

What we will not knowingly handle.

SolyTrades does not knowingly participate in transactions involving prohibited goods, prohibited parties or prohibited end uses. This includes, among other things:

  • firearms, ammunition, explosives and military or defence-related products;
  • controlled dual-use goods or advanced technologies requiring authorisations that are not available;
  • controlled surveillance, interception, cryptographic, nuclear, missile or aerospace-related items;
  • controlled chemicals, narcotics, hazardous waste and protected wildlife products;
  • counterfeit, stolen or intellectual-property-infringing goods;
  • sanctioned goods, sanctioned counterparties and prohibited end-users or end-uses.

Regulated civilian categories may be considered only where the applicable documentation, conformity, labelling, traceability and market-access requirements can be appropriately addressed.

Business Partners

Identifiable, commercially credible counterparties.

We seek to work with identifiable and commercially credible customers, suppliers and service providers. Depending on the nature of the proposed transaction, available information may be reviewed in relation to:

  • legal identity and registration;
  • business activity;
  • ownership or control information where relevant and available;
  • commercial documentation;
  • relevant operating history;
  • consistency of the information provided;
  • transaction-specific risk indicators.

The scope of any review depends on the circumstances and does not constitute a general certification or guarantee of a business partner.

Technology-Supported Analysis

Proprietary tools that support judgement.

SolyTrades uses proprietary analytical tools to support:

  • supplier research and comparison;
  • document and evidence review;
  • capability assessment;
  • route and supply-chain modelling;
  • cost and timing scenario comparison;
  • identification of inconsistencies and risk indicators.

Technology helps organise and compare available information. It supports professional judgement but does not independently create contractual commitments, certify suppliers or make legally significant commercial decisions on behalf of the company or its clients.

Supplier and Facility Assessment

Different levels of review, depending on the transaction.

Supplier and facility assessment may include different levels of review depending on the transaction.

AI-Assisted Analysis

Review and comparison of supplier information, documentation, stated capabilities and available evidence.

Remote Assessment

Review of documents, photographs, video materials, certificates, equipment information, quality-control records and other production evidence made available for assessment.

On-Site Inspection

On-site inspections may be coordinated through qualified local or independent inspection specialists. The scope, methodology, location, inspection provider and reporting requirements are agreed separately for each assignment.

SolyTrades does not present an assessment or inspection as an official certification unless such certification is separately performed by an appropriately authorised body.

Supply-Chain Responsibility

Analysis that supports informed planning.

Supply-chain analysis may consider:

  • route feasibility;
  • transport-mode options;
  • estimated cost components;
  • expected transit-time ranges;
  • consolidation points;
  • border and infrastructure constraints;
  • supplier dependencies;
  • contingency scenarios;
  • geographic and operational risks.

The purpose of the analysis is to support informed commercial planning. Estimates and scenarios remain dependent on the quality of the available information and the conditions applicable at the relevant time.

Independent Service Providers

Specialised activities, through qualified providers.

Physical transportation, customs brokerage, warehousing, inspections, laboratory testing, certification and other specialised activities may be performed by qualified independent providers.

Where third-party services are required, their scope and responsibilities are defined separately for the relevant transaction or assignment.

Ongoing Review

Conditions change; assumptions are revisited.

Commercial, regulatory and supply-chain conditions may change. Information and assumptions may therefore need to be reviewed again where:

  • the product or specification changes;
  • the supplier changes;
  • the destination or intended use changes;
  • the transaction structure changes;
  • new information becomes available;
  • significant time has passed since the original assessment.
